WHY I DO THIS
Hi, I'm Hannah! I was born at home in Northwoods Wisconsin to parents who believed in their ability to make informed decisions for their health and birth safely at home. Growing up, I've witnessed hundreds of women who have made the choice to birth at home and, ultimately, I made the journey to become a facilitator and advocate for this. My philosophy is that Birth has been and should be an organic, life-giving experience when experienced as a normal process of the body. My goal is to work with expecting parents to develop authentic birth options and support their choices alongside a village of compassionate and knowledgable providers. When I'm not with my birth families, you will find me drinking coffee, nerding out over what currently obsesses me in the health and wellness arena, or spending time in the great outdoors on my 40 country acres.
When women realize that birth is a time of great opportunity to get in touch with their true power, and when they are willing to assume responsibility for this, we will reclaim the power of birth and help move technology where it belongs-in the service of birthing women, not their master.

Pregnancy Care Services
Prenatal Care
Your prenatal care starts right at the first phone call! We set your prenatal visit schedule as needed or indicated and take time at each visit to tailor your care to your pregnancy. Visits are in a relaxed, homelike environment and the whole family is welcome
Birth!
During labor and birth, you and your baby are my top priority. I value attentive, supportive care throughout the entire process and take time to make sure that your individual needs are met. Whether you are a first-time mother or a seasoned birther, my assistant and I are there to support you in whatever the moment calls for. During your prenatal time, we will discuss what home birth looks like, whether its the supplies you will need to have on hand or what level and kind of support you will get from me as your midwife
Postpartum Care
We don't just wave goodbye after the birth. Postpartum visits include comprehensive newborn testing, breastfeeding consults, and support for the new mother. I take much satisfaction making sure everyone is on solid ground physically and emotionally in the weeks following the birth.
Ultrasound Imaging
We contract with a trusted ultrasound and radiology company to offer easy access to Level 1 ultrasounds. Most ultrasounds can be done in the comfort of our office and you will have access to the report and images if requested.
Laboratory Services
Labs relating to your pregnancy care can be drawn in our office or your home and are run through a local lab, giving us trackable data we can use to optimize your experience.
Waterbirth
I hold a certification in water birth and can provide the relaxing experience in the comfort of your home. Village Midwifery provides the tubs and supporting supplies.
Pricing Options
I do not bill insurance, however I work hard at affordable fees and am willing to work with you to develope a payment schedule that works for everyone. Just ask!
For those of you who would like to seek reimbursement from their insurance, I work with an insurance biller who specializes in home birth midwife billing
